The garage business on this site dates to pre second world war, (although the cars and building looked a bit different then), and was purchased by the current owner Bob Smith with his father Denis from Maurice William Crisp in 1977.

M.W.Crisp traded from 1945 until his retirement in 1977 and during that time held Hillman and Triumph agencies.

Bob and Denis retained the respected Crisps name, only adding " Paramount " to reflect their aspiration to be second to none, hence the trading name of Crisps Paramount Garage Ltd, locally generally known as "Crisps of Knodishall".

Bob's father retired in 1989 and a new member of the family, Bob' s son William joined the business in 2003 to continue the Smith's Crisp's association.

We became the first authorised Renault Service Point in the UK in 1978 forming an association with the famous Renault brand 4 decades ago, followed by the introduction of the Dacia range of vehicles in 2013.

The garage has seen many improvements & changes over the years, in keeping with changing business requirements, including our showroom and reception area development in 2007 and more recently improvements to the roof, insulation and heating system of our workshop.

October 2018 was the beginning of our next chapter when we decided to end our forty years with Renault as a franchised dealer. Going forward we will resolutely focus upon being a fully independent dealership which places customer satisfaction as our utmost priority but without many of the restrictions and costs associated with a manufacturer.

Our long standing team remain un-changed, alongside new staff offering additional skills and experience. We can assure all customers that our reputation for offering a high quality, friendly and approachable service will remain at the forefront of all that we do.
